What is an RCSEF Mini-Grant?
Rutherford County Schools Education Foundation (RCSEF) is honored to have established Mini-Grants to benefit Rutherford County Schools. Mini-Grants are to encourage teachers, media specialists and guidance counselors to originate and implement innovative educational projects which show promise of benefiting students through enhanced learning opportunities. Specialized educational trips will be considered only if they are an integral part of the proposed innovative activity.
How Much is the Mini-Grant Amount?
Each Mini-Grant will provide funding of up to $1000.
• Applications accepted Fall 2023
• Recipient presentations made during the month of December 2023
Who Can Apply?
All certified employees in the Rutherford County School System are eligible to apply. Please contact the RCSEF Executive Director at [email protected] if you have any questions.
How Are Recipients Selected?
All applications received by the due date are reviewed by the RCSEF Mini-Grant Committee and Board Members. Applications are evaluated for innovative and educational nature, realistic goals, benefit to students, clarity, and reasonable budget. A surprise presentation in the teacher’s classroom will be arranged through the school’s principal. Recipients will receive up to $1000, along with a certificate and congratulations letter. No money will be allocated for a personal honorarium to the applicant. All checks will be made to the individual school.
